The blueprint 3… nog meer Jay-z

Jay-z brengt de 'Blueprint 3'

Na mijn post Jay-z gerelateerd post van eergisteren over ‘Viva la hova‘ nu nieuws over het nieuwe album van Jay-z, ‘The blueprint 3′. In de top 10 van hiphop albums voor 2009 met hooggespannen verwachtingen bezet ‘The blueprint 3′ de derde plek. Deze derde plek heeft ‘The blueprint 3′ te danken aan de hooggespannen verwachtingen die gewekt zijn door diverse opmerkingen van producers en artiesten die mee hebben gewerkt aan het album. ‘The blueprint 3′ belooft een Jay-z ‘oude stijl’ ten gehore te brengen, een Jay-z zoals we hem kennen van ‘The blueprint 1′ en 2 en natuurlijk een Jay-z zoals die te horen was op ‘The black album’.

Over de producer van ‘The blueprint 3′ was in eerste instantie veel onduidelijkheid. Timbaland maakte in eerste instantie melding van de nieuwe Jay-z met de mededeling dat hij de hele plaat zou gaan produceren. Al snel daarna brachten Jay-Z en Kanye West het nieuws naar buiten dat laatstgenoemde de produktie van de hele ‘Blueprint 3′ voor zijn rekening zou nemen, met Jay-z zelf als co-producer. Waar het Timbaland verhaal vandaan komt blijft onduidelijk.’The blueprint 3′ zal trouwens het laatste album zijn wat op het Def Jam label uit zal komen. Jay-z heeft namelijk, net als Madonna en U2, een deal gesloten met Live Nation.

Het eerste nummer van ‘The blueprint 3′ wat illegaal te beluisteren was, was ‘Swagga like us’ . ‘Swagga like us’ werd ook uitgebracht op ‘Paper trail’ van T.I. Voor ‘The blueprint 3′ is inmiddels een deel 2 van deze grote hit opgenomen. Daarnaast bracht Jay-z ter ere van de verkiezing van Barack Obama tot Amerikaans president het nummer ‘History’ uit. Ook dit nummer zal terug te horen zijn op ‘The blueprint 3′. Helaas is de ‘The blueprint 3′ nog niet klaar, getuige de volgende quota van Jay-z zelf:

“The blueprint moet een perfect album worden en daarom doe ik mijn tijd met dit album. Ik heb geen deadling voor dit album. Dat levert me een dubbel gevoel op, het is soms verstandig om met deadlines te werken.”

Dat dit soort opmerkingen bijdraagt aan een een hoge verwachting met betrekking tot ‘The blueprint 3′ spreekt voor zich!

Alhoewel de precieze tracklisting voor ‘The blueprint 3′ nog niet bekend is, is van de volgende nummers al wel bevestigd dat ze te horen zullen zijn op het nieuwe album van Jay-z.
